Here is the list of new features that Twitter
added this year.
New Direct Message Overlay:
Twitter has now launched its new direct message chat window on the desktop, which enables you to engage with the messages without having to leave your main tweet feed.
Add new tweets to old threads (Continue Thread)
In early February, Twitter introduced this feature for mobile users. While you are composing a new tweet from mobile, choose
which older tweet you want to connect the new tweet to. Then click on
the three dots menu in the older tweet and choose the “continue thread”
option. The new tweet will now become part of the original thread.
Audio Tweets:
Last month, Twitter introduced a new
audio tweet feature that is available to iOS users. This will capture up
to 140 seconds of audio per tweet. A Twitter spokesperson told to The Verge that the feature
was an early audio test and they are still exploring the best ways to meet the
needs of people with different abilities.
Here is a step by step
process:
Who can reply:
Now, you can choose who should reply
to your tweets. The platform now offers users three different privacy settings
for replies, which include ‘Everyone’ (standard Twitter, and the default
setting), ‘Only people you follow’, or ‘Only people you mention’.
