It's official : LinkedIn stories are coming soon.

It's official : LinkedIn stories are coming.

LinkedIn is following the footsteps of Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook by bringing a professional twist to the 24-hour stories format we all know. They are giving professionals the opportunity to share those more on-the-fly moments

At the moment, they have launched this "Stories" feature in Australia. So far, LinkedIn has rolled stories out to members and select pages in four different countries — France, Australia, Netherlands, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates.

You can take photos/ Upload the photos, record 20-second videos as well as personalise content with text and stickers. Stories will be available to connections and followers for 24 hours. You can also receive messages from your first-degree connections and share a story via private message with them.

Here is my view on how Recruiters / Employer Branding professionals can leverage LinkedIn Stories:

1. Increasing in building the brand awareness of the company.

2. You can feature (Upload) the employees’ testimonials / or your candidate testimonials

3. Give an authentic insight into the everyday working life

4. Share the videos / photos of your office environment. This is the place where the prospective candidates would be spending the majority of their day.

5. Share a behind-the-scenes video from a professional event or summit within your company

6. Highlight perks and benefits we are offering to our employees.

7. I always believe in a great company culture is based on the positive relationships with colleagues, managers and company’s leaders. You can send a message that your company culture is characterized by trust, collaboration, team spirit and support.

8. Make sure to highlight every award, certification and recognition your company receives.

9. Running a Campaign (with a unique hashtag)

10. Engaging talent (when prospective employees “like” the recruiting team’s efforts and start a relationship).

11. hare articles which are relevant to your work that are happening around you such as industry breaking news and trends

I'm pretty excited to use LinkedIn Stories. Now, it's over to you. Are you excited to use LinkedIn stories on your profile / for on your organization's LinkedIn pages. How do you see yourself incorporating them into your own strategy? Leave your comment here
