The Advanced Twitter Search Tricks and Tips


In the earlier post, I wrote about the features that was introduced by Twitter in the Year 2020 (Click here). 
Did you know you: Every second, on average, around 6,000 tweets are sent on Twitter, which translates to over 500 million tweets per day! This is what Twitter makes an amazing platform. 
Twitter Advanced Search is a goldmine for recruiters and marketers. In this post, I’m super excited to share some advanced search tips and tricks:



@sathish_ganesh
Tweets that @mention or reference a particular user

from:sathish_ganesh
All tweets sent by a particular Twitter user.

filter:verified
Only show tweets from verified Twitter accounts (with the blue tick).

#jobs since:2020-01-01 until:2020-01-20
Tweets sent in a particular time range 

J2EE -Python
Contains J2EE but not Python




SHRMedge20  min_retweets:10 Tweets that have been retweeted at least 10 times

#Hiring lang:fr
Tweets sent in particular language (fr = French). Check this out for the languages supported on Twitter:  

to:sathish_ganesh -filter:links 
Tweets sent to @sathish_ganesh but doesn't contain any links.

youtube.com min_faves:25 
Tweets containing YouTube videos that are favorited by atleast 25 users.

#Hiring min_retweets:10
Tweets that have been retweeted at least 10 times.

from:Sathish to:Ganesh -RT
Tweets from user @Sathish that @mention user @Ganesh but exclude Retweets.

#Hiring filter:media 
Show Hiring tweets containing images or videos.

#Hiring Java OR J2EE filter:images : 
Tweets that mention #Hiring with keywords including Java OR J2EE including photograph

india filter:news
Shows tweets containing news stores

Save your searches. 
Twitter allows you to save up to 25 searches. After a search, click the gear box next to “Results for…” Click “Save Search.To find your saved searches, in the search bar, simply click once and a drop-down of saved searches appears.
